Calcite is back in 2023, coming up with his latest release ‘Caffeine’ which will leave audiences feeling like they’re back in the 90’s smoking doobies at the park. His new track perfectly encapsulates everything good about Cali indie surf rock, with his own added spin to it.
Caffeine is a song he wrote with his good friend and fellow songwriter Cassy Rae.
It follows a story about a person who is overly confident and somewhat cocky with their ignorance to mental health. Essentially being really good at pretending everything is fine when it’s not.
The chorus grips the concept of letting go, whether that be letting go of a person or a substance.
The verse from Cassy Rae is calling out this person and encouraging them to be honest with themselves and offering advice that is often ignored.
Featuring a tasty guitar solo from Ryan Beverage, this song takes his EP project into its pop punk direction. Leaving the door wide open to what's coming next.
